Chicago marked my first time photographing a HYROX event. The moment I stepped into the arena, I understood why this sport has grown so quickly. The energy is constant. The noise never stops. Every corner has someone pushing themselves, recovering between stations, celebrating a win, or fighting to stay in it.
I spent the day moving through the course and watching athletes hit their limits and keep going. The blend of running, functional work, grit, and community creates a rhythm that is powerful to witness. There is a raw honesty in moments like these. People show up with everything they have.
